| The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives annually $100 million of government funding generated through Ontario’s charity casino initiative. The Dragon Flies Dragon Boat Team is pleased to announce recent funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. This funding will be used by The Dragon Flies’ organization for a variety of activities. One of the major initiatives is the Fourth Annual Dragon Flies’ Dragon Boat Festival. |

| With the additional 'community peer' guidance and support of the Port Perry Rotary Club, the festival is staged to promote breast cancer awareness and support as well as to raise funds for early diagnosis and treatment at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, and the Durham Regional Cancer Centre in Oshawa. |  |
