As part of its mandate to improve breast cancer awareness, the Dragon Flies Dragon Boat Team is selling fun and attractive wristbands in conjunction with their Dragon Boat Festival.
However, there is a deeper meaning behind the simple, good looks
of these bands...

The motto, “Power of Light”, first originated with the birth of The Dragon Flies Dragon Boat Racing Team - a group of ladies that
were breast cancer survivors.
Dragonflies (the friendly, flying insects), with their iridescent wings, filter and reflect light to produce beautiful, dynamic patterns.
Through their efforts, the members of The Dragon Flies team have produced wonderful bright lights in the lives of breast cancer survivors. This light radiates hope and courage to conquer breast cancer. The light also brings a dramatic change of pattern to the lives of the breast cancer survivors as it shines brightly to lead survivors to healthy lifestyles - both physically and emotionally.

The "Power of Light" wristbands are pink, which is the colour associated with Breast Cancer. Made of soft and stretchy silicone, our motto is embossed on the band and a dragonfly image is encased within the text.
