The Dragon Flies is a group of women who have come together to form a dragon boat team comprised of breast cancer survivors.
The Dragon Flies Breast Cancer Survivor Group has vowed to raise public awareness about breast cancer and the achievement of living full and active lives following a diagnosis of breast cancer through dragon boating as well as other wellness programs.
We’d like to give thanks to all participants, patrons, volunteers, and local support programs for contributing to the success of past Dragon Flies Dragon Boat Festivals!
The Dragon Flies are fortunate to have had such amazing support & encouragement from the community and surrounding Port Perry area. The community’s effort to host such an amazing event helped to raise public awareness and provide funds for four local hospitals; Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Lakeridge Health in Port Perry, Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, and the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre in Oshawa.
